Object: Presidential Elections 2012 – Congratulations Mr. President Obama
Dear Mr. President of the United States of America,
I wish to congratulate with You in my name and in the name of the members and friends of the association i Ken ONLUS for the amazing results for the elections on the 6th of November .
We always hoped and truly believed in this results because we, as European and homosexual citizens who constantly fight for human and civil rights in Italy, deeply appreciated the words full of dignity that You, Mr. President Obama, spoke in favor of the LGBTQ community and of all the people who are persecuted and stigmatized.
American citizens chose their President, and we want to congratulate for their choice and to confirm what we already said during the meeting between i Ken and the Consul of the Cultural Affairs of the U.S.A. happened last May: we will work to consolidate the friendship and the cultural exchange between the Italian and American members of the LGBTQ community.
These people still fight with their spirit for equality for everybody; a fight started by Harvey Milk, a pioneer and a hero of freedom, and continued in present times by You , a symbol of modernity and freedom.

Egr. Signor Presidente degli Stati Uniti d’America,
desidero esprimerLe a nome mio, dei nostri iscritti e dei moltissimi simpatizzanti della nostra associazione le nostre felicitazioni per il grande risultato elettorale del 6 novembre.
Abbiamo sperato e creduto profondamente in questo risultato da cittadini europei e da cittadini omosessuali in lotta per i diritti umani e civili nella nostra Italia, perché abbiamo potuto apprezzare le parole ricche di dignità che Lei, signor Presidente Obama, ha avuto non solo per le nostre comunità ( LGTBQ) ma per tutte quelle persone che sono stigmatizzate e perseguitate.
I cittadini americani hanno scelto il loro Presidente, ci congratuliamo per la scelta e confermiamo quanto già affermato nel recente incontro tra i Ken ed il Console alla Cultura Usa di Napoli tenutosi nel mese di maggio, ossia che lavoreremo per consolidare l’amicizia e lo scambio culturale tra le persone omosessuali americane e quelle italiane che lottano ancora nello spirito per la uguaglianza di tutti e tutte e che vide in Harvey Milk un pioniere ed un eroe della libertà , dell’uguaglianza e della pluralità e che oggi riconosce in Lei un simbolo di libertà e modernità.
